Program Objective

The CAE Design & Analysis course aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of key simulation and design tools used in modern engineering workflows. Some of the key learning outcomes -
  • Learn to create and modify CAD models, including surface and solid modeling, and assembly modeling.
  • Apply FEA to predict stress, strain, and deformation in structures, and to analyze the behavior of materials under various loads.
  • Use CFD to simulate and analyze fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transport in various engineering systems, including pipes, ducts, and heat exchangers.
  • Model and simulate the dynamics of complex systems using MBD, including the analysis of kinematics, kinetics, and dynamics.
  • Apply optimization techniques to minimize or maximize performance metrics in design optimization problems, including linear and nonlinear programming, and gradient-based optimization.
