The Rotary Equipment Design & Detailed Engineering Program is designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required for the design, selection, specification, and detailed engineering of rotary equipment used in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, power, and process plants. The program emphasizes real-world engineering applications in accordance with international standards, using industry best practices for rotating equipment engineering.
 
The program aims to:
 
  • Provide a strong foundation in the design principles and engineering of rotary equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Guide learners through the complete engineering workflow—from equipment selection and sizing to detailed engineering, procurement support, installation, and commissioning.
  • Develop proficiency in preparing equipment specifications, datasheets, technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and engineering calculations in accordance with API, ASME, ISO, and other international standards.
  • Train participants in preparing essential engineering deliverables such as equipment datasheets, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, piping interface requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Enable learners to understand equipment performance, hydraulic calculations, vibration fundamentals, shaft alignment, mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication systems, and condition monitoring.
  • Improve understanding of installation requirements, testing and commissioning procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and interdisciplinary coordination with process, piping, instrumentation, and electrical engineering teams.
